A zero tolerance warning has been issued from Swindon Town Football Club about abuse aimed towards staff over play-off ticket issues.
Problems arising as eager Swindon Town fans flock to secure tickets to see the Robins take on Port Vale in their League Two play-off clashes have reportedly led to staff end up on the receiving end of unpleasant behaviour.
The club has urged people not to contact staff on personal phones, emails and social media accounts to complain about work-related issues. Additionally, it said that abusive behaviour towards staff, either in person or over the phone, would not be tolerated.
A spokesperson said: "We urge all supporters to please refrain from contacting staff on personal phones, emails and social media accounts to complain about work-related issues.
"Additionally, abusive behaviour towards staff in person and over the phone will not be tolerated.
"All staff at the club work tirelessly to offer the best service they can and shouldn't have to deal with any form of abuse from customers."
The Robins cemented a spot in the play-off places by beating Wallsall 3-0 away on Saturday in what proved to be a dramatic day for League Two in general.

The team will take on Port Vale across two legs, in a home fixture on May 15 and an away game on May 19. If Swindon emerge victorious they will play either Mansfield or Northampton in the final.
Fans trying to book tickets had been unhappy at the club's decision to only allow Season Ticket Holders and 6 Game Membership Holders to buy tickets online at the same time, which the club said was due to the way its system was set up at the start of the season.
"Enabling a similar window for Loyalty Points Holders would cause inconsistencies and potential errors," it explained.
"We are fully aware that this is not ideal, especially due to high demand for Playoff tickets, and we will fully endeavour that things are done differently before next season so that this issue will not arise in the future. However, this does mean that due to the short turnaround we will only have the on-sale windows as stated."
Despite these issues the club reiterated that its staff should be treated fairly and politely.
