A bright yellow boat cafe has popped up on the river in Oxford for 72 hours only, and it is day two.

It sells plant-based treats such as Vegan Pizza, brownies, and cookies as well as serving stove-top coffee, teas and fruit smoothies.

The owner of the boat James Stuart-Wigley also offers yoga classes and was an instructor for 15 years before deciding to set up his portable cafe.

The 47-year-old who started the cafe last year in the west country and has moved it to Oxfordshire said: "The welcome we've had here has been great.

"I got a boat with a bigger kitchen and that's when I had the idea of doing the cafe. It was after lockdown so we were really in need of a change of scenery.

"It's quite a big change, but it's been great. The weather is amazing which helps."

The fitness instructor runs the cafe by himself, with his two dogs Bongo and Sophia.

He also offers yoga classes and a dog walking service.

The boat is currently moored at Longbridges, near the Hertford College boathouse, and is hard to miss thanks to its bright yellow hue.

Oxford City Council gave the cafe permission to moor there for 72 hours.

Mr Stuart-Wigley arrived yesterday, so he will be around for today and tomorrow only before moving.

The cafe is open between 9am and 6pm.
