A seven-year-old boy who is a big fan of the police and wants to join the force was delighted when he met officers and had a go in their police car.
William Howard, who suffers from a rare mitochondrial disease, was out with his mum Mihaela and sister Sofia when he spotted PC Plenderleith and PC Mitchell at Greenbridge Reail Park.
The officers were happy to chat to William and invited him to come and meet the rest of the team at Gablecross Police Station.
William enjoys dressing up in his own police uniform at home and playing "police" with dad Simon and sister Sofia but is hoping to join the real force in the future.
