These are the latest licensing applications submitted in Swindon this week:

MANNINGTON: Notice is given that application will be made to the Magistrates' Court sitting at Princes Street, Swindon on Friday July 29 2022 at 2pm for an order that part of the highway at Scott Way in Swindon as indicated on the plans (reference: DPB/007410) - which may be inspected at Wat Tyler House, One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm - represented by the part coloured blue shall be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary.

HAYDON WICK: Notice is given that application will be made to the Magistrates' Court sitting at Princes Street, Swindon on Friday July 29 2022 at 2pm for an order that part of the highway at the rear of 36 Sherford Road in Swindon, as indicated on the plan (reference: DPB/005727) and is represented by the part hatched black, shall be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary.

TOWN CENTRE: An application has been made to the Licensing Authority for Swindon by Knockalla Limited to vary the Premises Licence issued in respect of Remix on 22-23 Fleet Street.

The application seeks permission to have the option to play live and recorded music from 9am to 4am every day as well as sell alcohol and late night refreshments from 1am to 4am Sunday to Thursday and 2am to 4am on Fridays and Saturdays.

All licensable activities on bank holidays are extended by one hour, and will last 9am to 5am on the day immediately prior to the commencement of British Summer Time.

The application would like to add extra conditions to the existing licence.

A Challenge "25" policy shall be operated at the premises. Forms of identification that will be accepted are a valid passport, photo card driving licence or PASS accredited identification card.

CCTV equipment which is fit for purpose shall be provided and be properly maintained. Coverage shall include the whole of the trading area and the entrance. The recordings shall be kept for at least 28 days and shall be made available to an authorised officer on request.

A risk assessment shall be carried out to determine occasions when the presence of door supervisors are required at the premises. This risk assessment will identify the number of door supervisors required for each occasion, and they shall be employed and present in the premises.

No member of staff shall be permitted to sell alcohol until they have completed appropriate braining. That training shall be refreshed, at least every six months. It shall include guidance designed to ensure that alcohol is not sold to persons who are intoxicated or underage.

A refusals book shall be kept on the premises to record any refusal to sell alcohol. The time, date and reason for refusal along with the name of the person refusing the sale shall be recorded. The refusals book shall be made available for inspection by an authorised officer upon request.

One condition will change so that children vacate the premises by 10pm.

The application seeks permission to have the option to screen films and boxing or wrestling between 11am to 4pm, play live or recorded music and sell alcohol and late night refreshments between 3am and 4am every day.

The application seeks a condition change: "The licenced premises will supply door supervisors on a risk-assessed basis and on days where the whole of the premises is in use (ground floor and first floor), the premises shall supply a minimum of four door supervisors.

"The door supervisors shall wear high visibility clothing at all times."
