MICHELLE Donelan MP has again expressed her support for Boris Johnson ahead of tonight's no-confidence vote.
It comes after at least 54 Conservative MPs submitted letters of no-confidence in the Prime Minister, following the publication of Sue Gray's report about the Downing Street parties.
If at least 180 Conservative MPs - a majority - were to vote against the PM tonight, it will automatically trigger a leadership contest in which Mr Johnson cannot stand.
Chippenham MP Michelle Donelan took to Twitter to explain her views on tonight's vote and why she is supporting Boris Johnson.
She said on Twitter: "A leadership election won’t help the economy, won’t help us tackle the cost of living, won't help us to defend Ukraine or deliver on our manifesto commitments. Boris has proven he can do this.

Let’s not forget we wouldn’t have such high employment without his bold calls on vaccine procurement & rollout & so much £ help. I'll be supporting the PM this evening because on the big issues he's made the right calls. 2/3

I always focus on what matters to my constituents, which is cost of living and delivering the manifesto that I, and this government was elected on. 3/3

No 10 said earlier this morning that Johnson "welcomes the opportunity to make his case to MPs", and that tonight's vote is "a chance to end months of speculation and allow the government to draw a line and move on".
The no-confidence vote will take place tonight between 6-8pm.
