Jubilees are all about picnics, cream teas, sandwiches and buntings - but Wanborough had a slightly different idea up its sleeve this year.
Hundreds of villagers gathered in Church Field to enjoy being together as a community, live music and, of course, plenty of food and drink
Participants sprint, jog & stroll between each of the village’s pubs, stopping to drink half a pint of ale at each stop in as little as 14 minutes.
It also marked the return of the beloved Beer Race, which first started in 1955 and featured a special ‘pub’ stop in the Jubilee event field itself - The Jenner Arms - put in place to commemorate one of the races Co-founders, Mike Jenner, who died last year.
The event returned to the streets for the first time following the end of coronavirus restrictions.
