A new competition has been launched to find the best local pub in South Swindon, organised by South Swindon MP Sir Robert Buckland.
The aim of the competition is to not only find the best local pub but also to support and promote local businesses.
The competition will run from Friday, July 22 until Friday, August 19, and during that time Mr Buckland has pledged to visit every pub nominated for the competition to help find the best one.
During the time of the competition, locals can keep up to date with the competition and find out how to vote by following Buckland's Facebook and Instagram pages.
During the final week of the competition, local residents from across South Swindon will be able to vote in a poll to help crown South Swindon’s Favourite Pub.
Buckland said on his Facebook page: "We are lucky here in South Swindon to have many brilliant pubs, which are truly at the heart of the communities they serve.
"I am calling on pubs in South Swindon to sign up for the competition, and for residents to join me in supporting our local pubs this summer, after what has been a challenging two years."
Anyone who runs a local pub and would like to get involved, are urged to contact Robert Buckland by emailing robert.buckland.mp@parliament.uk or ringing 01793 533393.
