Swindon's fire services were engaged in a rather unusual operation after a cow got itself in a pickle.
The cow had to be rescued from a farm in Tockenham when it was found stuck in a pond on Friday afternoon.
Fire crews from Westlea and a technical rescue team from Stratton helped the farm animal out of the water using animal rescue equipment after they were called at 3.29pm on Friday.
The fire service reported that the cow clambered back to dry land with their help "happily unharmed" by around 4.30pm.
Stratton St Margaret Fire Station tweeted: "It was a high steaks rescue."
