The Wessex Male Choir is marking its 20th anniversary this year with a new image, new uniform and a spectacular summer concert in aid of Ukraine.
The Swindon-based choir is aiming to do what it can to help those forced to leave their homes to escape what it has called 'unrelenting violence from a needless conflict' by holding a concert.
Thirty free tickets have been set aside for refugees who have fled the Eastern European country and found a new home in Swindon, and the singers will be performing 'Prayer for Ukraine' during the show.
The choir recently launched a video of Prayer for Ukraine, which they performed for the first time at a recent concert. This includes a link to a Just Giving page.
This year’s summer concert is on Saturday, July 9 at the Deanery Academy, Peglars Way in Swindon and will be a celebration of the choir’s favourite songs from the last 20 years along with some new music.
Doors open at 6.45pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm Tickets are £12.50 and available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/wessex-male-choir
