Two men are believed to have been assaulted in an incident at a popular Old Town nightspot.

Officers were called to The Kings Arms in Wood Street at around 11.15pm on Sunday.

Police released a CCTV image of a man they wished to speak to in connection with the alleged assault.

But they have since confirmed they have received enough information about the man's identity so the appeal has been withdrawn.

None of the men was seriously injured but one of them is understood to have been punched in the face.

The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
