Two 12-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire at a Co-op store in Chippenham.
The two boys were arrested last night (MON) after the blaze at the shop’s bin store in Conway Road, off Queens Crescent.
Police and four fire crews attended the fire just before 6pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were alerted to the blaze by the fire service. It is believed the fire was started deliberately in a bin in Conway Road near to the Co-op at approximately 6pm.
“Two youths, both aged 12, have been arrested on suspicion of arson and released under investigation while further enquiries are conducted.”
