Police have released a woman on bail as they continue to investigate a newborn baby’s death.

The woman in her 30s was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of manslaughter.

She was held at Gablecross police station.

Wiltshire Police have confirmed that the woman has since been released on conditional bail.

Officers are continuing their investigation and are treating the baby’s death as ‘unexplained’.

Police were called to an address in Grange Park by the ambulance service on Monday morning.

Paramedics were on scene in the early hours of the morning before calling Wiltshire Police.

Detectives and forensic teams have been on the scene for more than 30 hours as part of the investigation.
