Police got more than they bargained for after catching a drink-drive suspect.
Officers pulled over an Alfa Romeo 159 at Junction 16 of the M4 in the early hours of Monday morning after a motorist was seen driving on a provisional licence.
When police spoke to the driver, they conducted a roadside breath test and he blew 118 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35.
In an update the same afternoon, WiltsSpecOps revealed that the driver had given false details.
Sadly for the driver, it’s not my first day at the office and our enquiries revealed he gave false details road side. A few more charges added to the sheet in custody:

Obstruct Police
He has since been charged with drink-driving, having no insurance, driving while disqualified and obstruction.
Driving while over the prescribed limit can lead to a minimum driving ban of 18 months as well as a jail sentence.
