Heatwave causes change to Swindon bin collections
SCORCHING hot temperatures hitting Swindon have led to a change in upcoming bin collections.
A Swindon Borough Council spokesman said: "With high temperatures forecast across Swindon this week, our waste and recycling crews are due to complete their rounds as usual, but they’ll set off a little earlier to limit the time they’re out during the hottest parts of the day.
"If your waste or recycling is due to be collected this week, please have it ready at the kerbside by 5.30am, an hour earlier than normal, to help the crews out.
