A DENTAL practice in Royal Wootton Bassett now has a new owner and head dentist.

Aikusa Hacatrjana has taken charge of Cottage Dental Practice and Implant Clinic. She is looking forward to welcoming patients new and old to the practice.

The three staff in the High Street clinic – practice manager Joanne Neil, receptionist Angela Wilson, and dental nurse Pushpa Ale – have all been retained.

Trainee dental nurse Liberty Lee has just joined the team, which also includes dental hygienist Natalie Stirland and the business’ previous owner Dr Hosam Elmanharawy, who will continue to treat patients as the visiting oral surgeon.

Dr Hacatrjana is of Armenian heritage and qualified as a dentist in Latvia before moving to the UK in 2008 then working in practices around the country.

She promises to bring to the practice a renewed focus on health-based and prevention-led dentistry, closely coupled with cosmetic treatments, to help her patients maintain a sparkling smile.

The principal dentist lives in Oxford but was instantly drawn to Royal Wootton Bassett when looking for a practice to buy.

She said: "I liked the atmosphere of the town, which was welcoming and friendly, and I loved the practice and the team who work here."

The practice currently has two dental surgeries, but its new boss intends to add an extra one as she takes on more patients and welcomes new dentists to join the surgery.

She is looking forward to offering that range of restorative and cosmetic services, including teeth whitening, dental implants, and veneers to improve patients' smiles.

The practice offers the Invisalign system, which is an alternative to braces that can straighten teeth without the traditional ‘train tracks.’

Dr Hacatrjana plans to extend opening hours to meet the demands of busy patients with evening and weekend appointments, and promises to put convenience and accessibility to dentistry at the centre of her ethos.

She especially prides herself on helping nervous or anxious patients, adding: "Each & every patient will be treated with sympathy and understanding, in a relaxed, happy and supportive environment.

"My aim is that every patient leaves with a smile to be proud of."

Cottage Dental and Implant Clinic but will hold an Open Evening on Wednesday, September 14th from 6pm to 8pm to give new and existing customers the opportunity to see the facilities and meet the team.
