Letter
We are now informed, after a public consultation exercise, that Wiltshire Council is to press ahead with their plan to charge Blue Badge holders to park in council-owned car parks.
This is despite 204 objections to the strategy.
This would indicate either:
(a) At least 204 members of the public have contacted the Council stating that they strongly approved of the proposals or
(b) The whole 'public consultation' was a sham, with a predetermined outcome, and that once again - as with the Sadlers Mead Car Park fiasco - they have tried to deceive us into believing the inquiries were open-ended.
Could I respectfully ask Council Leader Richard Clewer to inform us which of the above is correct?
Rev Geoff Floyd
