Police have conducted speed checks on Kingsdown Road recently
A BUSY Swindon road is closed to through traffic for three weeks.
Businesses and neighbours on Kingsdown Road can still access the route to reach their homes and offices, but vehicles cannot travel from one end of it to the other.
The South Marston Industrial Estate junction is closed off, so anyone wishing to visit the Kingsdown cemetery and crematorium will need to enter Kingsdown Road from the Kingsdown pub and Arkells brewery junction.
There will be a diversion route down the A361 Highworth Road to the roundabout by The Crown Inn, then up the B4006 Ermin Street until the Kingsdown crossroads, and vice versa.
