Numerous plans have been submitted to Swindon Borough Council this week.

TRAFFIC ORDERS

WROUGHTON: A traffic order (reference STR000378) is being introduced to allow for Section 278 highway works and will prohibit vehicles from travelling on the B4005 Hodson Road at the junction with Brimble Hill.

Traffic to be diverted via Brimble Hill, Marlborough Road, Moormead Road, Swindon Road, Croft Road, Pipers Way, Marlborough Road, Common Head Roundabout, A419 J A4259/B4192 Join A419 From J A4259/B4192 To M4 J15, A346 J15 Roundabout, Marlborough Road, New Road.

It is anticipated the road closure is required between the hours of 8pm and 6am on September 15 and 16.

TOWN CENTRE: A footway improvement scheme will stop pedestrians from going on the footway and stop vehicles from parking on Crombey Street between Eastcott Hill and Curtis Street from September 12 to 23 (reference: STR000380).

TOWN CENTRE: Work on a road crossing will stop vehicles travelling on Emlyn Square and parking on the bays on Emlyn Square outside the Cricketeer Public House and Bristol Street, as indicated by signs, on August 30 and 31.

Traffic to be diverted via the bus gate on Bristol Street, where two-way traffic lights are to be set up (reference: STR000416).

TOWN CENTRE: Another order (reference STR000371) for the bus boulevard scheme will stop vehicles from travelling on Fleming Way between Whalebridge Junction and Milford Street for 18 months from September 4 Traffic to be diverted via Corporation Street, Manchester Road, Milford Street, Holbrook Way.

OLD TOWN: Thames Water works (reference: STR000385) will stop vehicles travelling on Old Mill Lane at the junction of The Weavers to the rear of No's 14 to 24 Mill Court from September 19 to 21. Access to be maintained.

OLD TOWN: SSEN work to install a new connection (reference: STR000386) will stop vehicles travelling on Albert Street from September 12 to 16.

Traffic to be diverted via Little London and Church Road.

WROUGHTON: More work from SSEN (reference: STR000389) will stop vehicles from proceeding on Hackpen Lane outside Overtown Farm from September 19 to 23.

Traffic to be diverted via Hackpen Lane, B4005 Brimble Hill, Marlborough Road, Devizes Road, High Street, Church Hill, A4361 (Broad Hinton Road), Free's Aveue and Hackpen Lane.

CHISELDON: This order (reference STR000396) will allow for Wales and West Utilities to carry out mains replacement works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on High Street junction of Butts Road outside No 14 between September 5 and October 13.

Traffic is to be diverted via High Street, Station Road, Marlborough Road, Butts Road and vice versa.

CHISELDON: Installing a new duct will stop traffic travelling on The Ridgeway at the junction with Draycot Lane on September 12 and 13.

Traffic to be diverted via High Street, Station Road, Marlborough Road, Butts Road and vice versa (reference: STR000398).

SOUTH MARSTON: Highworth Road is being shut to traffic between the entrance to the allotments and Burton Grove Farm to allow for Openreach to carry out overhead fibre cabling works (reference: STR000399) on September 12 and 13.

Traffic will be diverted via Highworth Road, Thornhill Road, A420, White Hart, Ermin Street, Swindon Road, Hobley Drive, B4006 Highworth Road, A361 Highworth Road, Supermarine Road and vice versa.
