THREE young Wiltshire men who were killed in a crash on the A420 near Swindon have been named.

Joseph Shape, 18, of Chippenham, and Lawrence Bruce, 20, of Devizes, died on August 21 after a black Ford Fiesta crashed with a coach and a white Alfa Romeo.

Two other men, aged 19 and 21, who were also in the Fiesta were injured and were taken to hospital for treatment but have since been discharged.

The two men have been named by Oxfordshire County Council’s list of inquests.

The third victim, Calum Leighton, 18, of Chippenham, was named by Thames Valley Police as his family released a tribute to the young musician.

They said: “Calum loved life. And to Calum, life was his friends and his music. He will be absolutely devastated about the impact this will have on all of his friends, but especially Lawrence and Joe.

“His sole aim, as always, was to bring everyone together for a good time, and what better way than with music.

“You don’t realise what you have until it’s gone. And then it’s too late. We thank all of his many, many, many friends for their love and support.

“Our beautiful boy Calum, da brightest rock star in the sky will shine on in are hearts forever. Andy, Ursula & Darcey xxx.”

An inquest into their deaths is due to be opened on 1pm on Wednesday, August 31.
