A popular Indian restaurant and takeaway in Swindon has closed.
Aby's Indian Experience customers had been asking why the restaurant on Faringdon Road was shut and why they could no longer order from there on Just Eat.
The former manager has now confirmed that the lease has come to an end and will not be extended.
Rajib Malaker has taken over Mela in Old Town on August 8 and is concentrating on this new project instead.
Rajib switched jobs when Mela's former owner mentioned plans to find someone else to run the diner.
He is now co-owner of the Victoria Road restaurant along with head chef Porimol Dey.
Before reopening Mela, Rajib decided to renovate the space.
The seating, flooring, and look of the Indian restaurant has been completely changed as part of a £10,000 top-to-bottom makeover.
Back in early August Rajib told the Adver: "It's an exciting time for us.
"Everything is totally different from the previous owner, we've changed the whole restaurant.
"The restaurant is in a very good location. New Town is quiet at the moment but this Old Town area is the busiest place in Swindon."
The menu offers a variety of different dishes along with familiar favourites. Porimol recommends the chicken chakmai, garlic chilli chicken, or mazbani.
