Christmas preparations are starting early this year in Swindon as supermarkets begin to stock their shelves with festive treats.
Dorcan Way's Morrisons has already dedicated a section of one of their aisles to Christmas foods - and it's only September.
Less than a month ago, an amber weather warning for extreme heat was in place across Wiltshire for four days between August 11 and August 14.Β
The weather has turned in the last week but memories of the hot weather will still be fresh in people's minds.
But the countdown to Christmas is on and, with more than 100 days to go, Swindon's shoppers can now stock up on their favorite sweet treats.
Iced Christmas cake, mince pies, Christmas pudding and stollen slices from Morrisons currently fill the shelves in the supermarket's prime spot near the tills.
Christmas party tubs of chocolate favourites including Heroes, Celebrations and Roses are also included in the Christmas section. Oreo Snowy Enrobed biscuits and McVitie's Victoria biscuit selection are also for sale.
Morrisons shoppers have been left divided by the supermarket chain's decision to prepare early for the festive season.
One customer tweeted: "It's only just effing September. What is this nonsense? #Christmas is in December #morrisons
