Longleat’s Sky Safari is set to lift off this weekend with a whole menagerie of animal-shaped hot air balloons.
The park’s own lion balloon will be leading the ascent, accompanied by a cheetah, a wolf, a parrot and even a penguin.
Mass launches and tethered displays are on the programme which starts at 7.15am tomorrow - depending on the weather.
There’ll be model ballooning with remote-controlled miniatures, live music from the Jamma de Samba band and night glows set to music as a grand finale on all three days.
Admission to the event is included with a day ticket, which means visitors can enjoy the other attractions including the safari drive-through and the main square.
The balloons will launch from Lodge Drive in front of the house and at the top of the fishing field. The best views will be from the lawns. Marshalls will direct visitors and there will be accessible viewing spots.
