Pics in our archive Moon Medicine, The Bell, High Street, Old Town, Swindon Colin Radbourne has created a number of Moon Medicine incarnations but this one is a corker.

Slick and professional performances from all three musicians give this trio the feel of a five-piece.

Colin is a purist in his music and every note counts when he writes his songs.

The result is a symphony in rock, a journey that meanders through some dark places and gradually comes up into the full blast of sunshine.

The boys held nothing back for a two-parter with some U2-type stadium-rock numbers that shook the timbers and got the crowd jumping.

These were intertwined with the REM-feel of Colin's spine-tingling ballads.

Many of the songs were taken from his new album Stones which is released on Matchbox Records on March 31.

Lee Moulding on drums is one of Swindon's gentlemen musicians, charming and quiet and hardly what you would call a showoff.

But on stage his talent flows like lightning down from his shoulders, through his fingertips and strikes through his drumsticks.

Without any showy tricks this guy simply shows the world how to play the drums, subtly changing and following the movements within the intricately crafted songs.

Jon Bucket on bass completes this rather talented outfit. He plays bass like guitar and gives a strong and powerful underbelly to Colin's rollercoaster riffs.

It is lovely to see music back at The Bell and of such cracking quality.
