What are you going to do this Easter? Here are a few ideas to help you decide.

1. Westonbirt National Arboretum, has an Easter trail on Good Friday between 10.30am and 4.30pm. The arboretum, near Tetbury, has one of the biggest collections of trees in the country.

Westonbirt's Easter Challenge involves following a trail of clues and having a go at making your own Easter decorations. The cost is £2 per child, and normal admission prices apply.

Then from Saturday to Monday an Easter Egg hunt takes places among the trees. Can you spot all the eggs around the arboretum - and work out which animals have laid them? The trail is free and suitable for ages four and upwards. Call 01666 880220 to find out more.

2. Easter Egg specials are running all weekend between 11am and 4pm each day at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway, Blunsdon Station, Tadpole Lane, Blunsdon.

This is the first event on the upgraded main line between Blunsdon and Hayes Knoll and every child will get a free Easter egg.

Trains run between 11am and 4pm at 20/30 minute intervals. The cost is £4 for adults, £3 for pensioners, £4.50 for children, or £15 for a family (two adults, two children). Call 01793 771615.

3. Why not fly a kite up on White Horse Hill, near Uffington? We're certainly having the weather for it lately, but a stiff breeze is guaranteed up near the ancient chalk carving.

4. Butterfly World at Studley Grange garden and leisure park has more than just butterflies on show. The attraction, near junction 16 of the M4, is open all weekend and is a great choice whatever the weather. For £4.25 per adult and £2.75 per child you can walk among hundreds of beautiful butterflies in the humidity of the tropics.

Last year a small animal farm was added, with Penny the goat and her two kids, four tortoises, rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, chipmunks, chickens and geese.

5. On easter Saturday you can get a lesson in campfire cookery between 11am and 2.30pm at Stanton Park in Stanton Fitzwarren. Learn how to mix some simple ingredients and create a feast then cook it over a fire in Stanton's woodland. The event is suitable for youngsters aged from eight to 18.

All ingredients are provided, just take cutlery and a plastic or metal plate. Take a hot drink too. Meet meet at Stanton Park Ranger Centre at 11am. Call 01793 490150.
