The Royal Warrant of Appointments granted to brands by Queen Elizabeth II have been made void since her death.

A Royal Warrant is granted as a mark of recognition to companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the monarch of consistent quality.

Swindon Advertiser: ShutterstockShutterstock (Image: Shutterstock)Companies holding the Royal Warrant can display the Royal Arms in connection to their branding, but are provided rules on how to do so by The Lord Chamberlain.

However, the death of the monarch who granted the Warrant, leads it to become void. The death of Her Majesty the Queen results in a review of which companies will uphold their Royal Warrants granted by King Charles III.

This requires the 800 companies to change their packaging either to remove the Royal Arms or to update it, which they are given two years to do.

Across Wiltshire, ten companies hold Royal Warrants, and will have their warrants reviewed.

Local companies that were granted the Royal Warrant include Swindon based Allen & Foxworthy LTD, who specialises in providing scaffolding, temporary roofing and access solutions.

They have been asked not to comment on the changes in their business or previous business with the Queen out of respect for this period of mourning.
