Uncertainty surrounds the future of the former Go Outdoors branch in Ocotal Way after the chain moved to Oxford Road earlier this year.

The building has been empty for the past six months, but although the Land Registry notes it is owned freehold, it is not clear who owns it.

An approach to Go Outdoors failed to elicit a response and the borough council said it had no involvement in the ownership of the building or knowledge of what will move there next.

The outdoors pursuits retailer moved to the former Toys R Us building - closed four years ago - and transformed it into superstore with tents, fishing supplies, equestrian equipment and clothing.
