A man is due in court on Friday after he was charged with killing a teenager in a crash.
Jamielee Hitt has been charged with five counts following a crash in Westbury last year, in which one woman died and two other female passengers were seriously injured.
Bethany Gumm, 18, died when a silver Ford Fiesta in which she was a front seat passenger hit a tree in The Mead, Westbury, just before 11.40pm on February 5 last year.
Two other female passengers in the vehicle – a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman – were rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after being seriously injured in the crash.
Hitt, 21, of Page Close, Calne, is due to appear before Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Friday (December 16).
He is charged with causing the death of Bethany Gumm by dangerous driving, causing death by driving a vehicle without a licence and causing death by driving a vehicle without insurance.
He also faces two charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving relating to the injured passengers.
Due to the serious nature of the offences, it is likely magistrates will adjourn the case and send it to a crown court.
