Police have continued their investigation into the fatal stabbing of Owen Dunn by carrying out a forensic search of an area off of Ocotal Way.
A 14-year-old has been arrested and charged with murdering the Swindon teen while he was on his way from his Penhill home to visit his girlfriend in Haydon End on December 4.
But as part of the force's continuing inquiries, a large police presence was spotted off of Ocotal Way on Wednesday afternoon, which carried on well into the evening.
Search specialists and a police sniffer dog could be seen searching the undergrowth in a field off of Pitt Close, close to an abandoned canal and opposite the entrance to St Joseph's school.

Tents and numerous chairs were set-up as the search began at roughly 4pm and were still there at 6.30pm as it started to get dark.
Wiltshire Police did not comment on what it was they were looking for, but did confirm that the search was linked to the death of the 18-year-old
Owen's death shocked the Swindon community and a couple of weeks after, people gathered at a memorial event in Penhill where they released balloons and lanterns in his name.
