DOWNTON House owner Jane Kilpatrick is a big fan of snowdrops.
She's the co-author of The Galanthophiles: 160 Years of Snowdrop Devotees, which covers some of the most important figures in the history of little white flowers grown today.
Her large walled garden is in the heart of Cotswolds snowdrop territory near Painswick and features winter flowering shrubs, cyclamen and ferns as well as her collection of Galanthus cultivars.
It is open on February 6 between 10.30am and 3pm as part of the National Garden Scheme.
Admission costs £5 for adults, children go free. Coffee and cakes are on sale. Visit ngs.org.uk for more information.
