THIS skyline view of central Swindon in the 1970s, taken from the roof of the Brunel Centre car park in the second photo of the gallery above, shows the town's Victorian market hall in its final years before demolition in March 1977.
When it shut traders were moved to part of the newly built shopping complex before being rehoused in the Tented Market in the early 1990s.
But less than 30 years later the eye-catching replacement that provided a space for entrepreneurs and small traders was shut down and semi-derelict as plans were made to put up flats and restaurants in its place.
It's still there awaiting its fate.
