A CASH reward has been offered to anyone who can provide information that will help capture the people who killed Swindon teen Owen Dunn.

On Sunday 4 December, 18-year-old Owen was cycling to meet his girlfriend from his home address at around 1.30pm when he was stabbed once in the chest which caused a wound to his heart and killed him.

Even though a 14-year-old has been charged and faces a trial later this year, the police's investigation is still ongoing.

Now, Crimestoppers has released a public appeal for information, offering a reward of up to £20,000 for anything revealed that leads to the arrest and conviction of those linked to the murder of Owen Dunn last December.

The appeal reveals new information about what happened, as well CCTV images of two people on bikes thought to have been involved.

The appeal states that Owen was approached by two young men also riding bikes on Mazurek Way, Haydon End in North Swindon. The two men were dressed in black, with balaclavas over their faces. It is believed one said ”who’s that”, referring to Owen, before both pulled out knives.

"He was then stabbed and despite the best efforts from members of the public, Owen died almost instantly. The pair jumped back on their bikes and quickly left the scene."

Crimestoppers director of operations Mick Duthie said: “Owen was taken away so cruelly and senselessly at such a young age and his family is heartbroken. We would like to see justice for them.

“If you think you know who is responsible for Owen’s murder, please speak up and tell Crimestoppers 100% anonymously. Our charity exists to give people a vital anonymous option if they prefer not to speak to the police or give any personal details. You can tell us what you know and we’ll pass it on for you.

“As a charity that is independent of the police, we have always kept our promise of anonymity – we’ve supported millions of people who have trusted us with their crucial crime information since we began in the late 1980s.
