A Swindon woman is set to jump out of a plane at 15,000 feet to raise money for a domestic abuse charity.
Cath Bailey, is taking on a charity tandem skydive on April 1 in Salisbury to support children and adults escaping domestic abuse.
The skydive is to support local charity FearLess, a provider of domestic abuse support services across the county.
“It was an opportunity to raise funds for a deserving local cause along with having a new experience myself. I have paraglided from a beach and been on the Tower of Terror,” she said.
“That is about as close as it has got to a skydive, but I am not unfamiliar with giving different things a try and going outside my comfort zone.
"I’m feeling excited – possibly more anxious at the time but more concerned about getting up that early!”
Jessica Gay, Head of Fundraising at FearLess said: “A big thank you to Cath for taking on this challenge! We have three spaces left for our Charity Day jump on the 1st April.
“Supporters are asked to raise £395 to take on the 10,000ft fall or £480 for 15,000 ft, which will see them experience amazing thrills and make a huge difference to local people’s lives.”
