A person was airlifted to hospital after they suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on the A4 in Wiltshire.

The collision occurred at around 4.30pm on Monday, March 6, and involved a bus and a car.

It is believed that the bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the crash.

The incident saw an air ambulance on site with took one person to hospital after they suffered life threatening injuries.

Two other people suffered injuries in the crash and were both were also taken to hospital after the event.

A police update also revealed that no arrests have been made following the crash.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We attended a road traffic collision on the A4, Box around 4.30pm this afternoon involving a bus and a car.

“The bus was not thought to be carrying any passengers at the time.

“One person was taken to hospital by air ambulance to be treated for life threatening injuries.

“Two other people were also taken to hospital to be treated for injuries."

“The road has been closed in all directions from The Bassetts junction while investigation work is carried out. Please seek alternative routes.

“No arrests have been made.”
