An investigation has been launched following a shooting in Swindon.
A man in his 40s is now facing a potentially life-changing injury after he was shot in the arm during an incident near Sackville Close, Swindon on Thursday evening.
The victim took himself to hospital from the scene, a cul-de-sac off Drakes Way, at around 9.15pm with a gunshot wound to his arm, where he was treated for his injury.
Wiltshire Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may be able to shed some light on the incident.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We have launched an investigation after a man suffered a potentially life-changing injury to his arm in an incident near Sackville Close, Swindon, [Thursday] evening.
"We are still in the early stages of our investigation and our enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have currently been made.
"A scene is currently in place in Sackville Close and members of the public are likely to see an increased police presence in the area while we investigate.
