A NEW series of Taskmaster is here and with it, a new series of comedians and TV presenters have lined up to take on Greg Davies' and Alex Horne's tasks for the public's amusement.

And one of this year's cast is Swindon-based comedian Ivo Graham, 32, who grew up in Aldbourne, and joins Frankie Boyle, Jennie Eclair, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Mae Martin for the new series of the hit Channel 4 show.

The huge Swindon Town Football Club fan made quite an impression in the first episode of the new series, with the episode title being named after something he said during the show, itself a reference to one of the first episode's most memorable moments.

During the final task of the show, the contestants had to throw random objects into a pot on a raised stand, without knocking the pot off.

In a moment of extraordinary gameplay, Ivo decided to sabotage his opponent Kiell by using his own ball to knock Kiell's pot off, leading to Kiell retaliating in kind.

When Graham's shocking decision was discussed afterwards he said that the 'curse of politeness had been lifted'.

For the prize task which opened the show, Graham and his fellow contestants were asked to find the most dependable item weighing 1kg or less.

Graham presented four toilet rolls, believing Wikipedia that said a loo roll weighed 227g when they actually weigh about 100g. He received 1 point.

But the local funny-man redeemed himself later in the show when he was asked to drive a barge with a barge pole on it to hook several floating rings.

Other tasks included having the best first wedding dance with Alex Horne and a task involving the unwinding of a ball of string.

When the scores were settled at the end of the episode, Graham was in last place with 9 points. Mae Martin won the episode with 19 points.

He posted on Twitter about being on the show and said: "Could not be more grateful for this incredible experience which I also fear is going to be very embarrassing."

Taskmaster airs on Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 4 and All 4.
