Several roads will close around the Swindon area over the next bank holiday weekend.

Royal events will fill residential areas in the borough as neighbours gather to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

At the end of a royal procession from Buckingham Palace - which begins at 6am on Saturday - the Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey in London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury from 11am.

The ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort, who will then return to Buckingham Palace from 1pm.

More than 60 aircraft including Spitfires, Typhoon jets, and the Red Arrows will fly over Buckingham Palace at around 2.30pm, passing through the skies above Wiltshire afterwards.

People are being invited to hold street parties and to take part in volunteering projects in their local community, as part of the Big Help Out initiative.
