A music festival just an hour away from Swindon which has been nominated as the best family festival for several years returns this weekend.

Wychwood Festival in Cheltenham started in 2005 and offers live music, a laid-back atmosphere and workshops for all ages - making it a perfect event for families near Wiltshire. 

This year's even boasts an eclectic lineup featuring some of the biggest names in British music including Eurovision star Sam Ryder, Happy Mondays, Travis, Ash, Scouting for Girls, Mel C and Soul II Soul, Toploader, Heather Small and The Proclaimers. 

Mark Watson, Angela Barnes and Diane Spencer are among some of the comedy acts performing at the event.

Shaun Williamson is bringing his festival-renowned Barriaoke to the festival, joining a headphone disco, musical bingo, magic and acrobatic shows as alternative entertainment. 

The full range of workshops shows and activities also on offer has been released along with timings.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Levellers and Deacon Blue headlined last year's festival, which was its return after two years out because of the pandemic.
