A huge car boot sale is set to be a regular weekend fixture in Swindon for the first time in several years.

The town used to play host to large car boot sales prior to the outbreak of Covid in 2020, but they have been largely absent ever since.

This is set to change though with the news that MyCarBoots Ltd are to host sales each weekend in a prime Swindon location.

The first of these will be held at the County Ground car park on Sunday, June 4, and will run from 12pm until 4pm.

Chris Mountford, director of MyCarBoots Ltd said: “We are aware that Swindon has been without regular car boot sales for a number of years now and we hope that the local community welcome and get behind it."

Pitches are priced at £10 for a car and £15 for a van whereas buyers’ entry is free.

If buyers wish to make use of the very limited onsite parking there will be a charge of £2 per car.

The weekly car boot sales will run throughout the year, weather permitting, but there will not be a sale on July 9.

On June 11, there will be a prearranged charity car boot sale taking place in aid of the Swindon Down's Syndrome Group.
