A respected police officer is retiring from his Wiltshire post after 22 years’ service.

Police Community Support Officer John Bordiss is leaving Wiltshire Police after a long career in the force, being stationed in different areas of the county.

He spent time in Marlborough and the Rural Crime Team before spending the last seven years at Royal Wootton Bassett.

Swindon Advertiser: PCSO John Bordiss will stand down from his post to retire this week.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Royal Wootton Bassett policing team especially the neighbourhoods will miss him deeply.

“He has met and worked with many people along the way.

“We all wish you the best in putting your feet up.”
