A Wiltshire mum was startled to discover a huge spider and its eggs living inside her bedroom window.
Abbie Higham from Devizes was opening up the house to cool down on Thursday with the area enduring a mini heatwave.
Yet when she unlocked her bedroom window, she made the shock discovery of a huge spider with a whole host of eggs.

“I found the spider in my bedroom window hinges as it was a hot day so I thought to open the windows to let some fresh air in,” said Abbie.
“I was shocked at first when I saw it and I was a little frightened but I realised that it wasn’t bothering me in the house so I decided to ignore it.”
The 27-year-old sought help from Facebook but made the surprising decision leave the arachnid.

“I’ve decided to leave it where it is and growing up near a farm and surrounded by fields I’ve always seen large spiders,” said Abbie.
“We’ve lived here for almost four years, we do get a lot of spiders but only little ones usually.”
Despite her initial shock, Abbie is fairly comfortable around the creepy crawlies.
“I reckon I would be pretty good at ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’, although I may fail at an eating challenge,” she said.
