Wiltshire's very own Married at First Sight contestant has revealed his honeymoon did not go well after he tied the knot on TV on Tuesday night.

Thomas Kriaris, from Bradenstoke, is on this year's series of the popular extreme-dating show and he married florist Rozz, from Crewe, on Tuesday's episode.

After his 'wedding day' was broadcast on television, Thomas appeared on BBC Radio Wiltshire to speak about the moment.

Radio host, Ben Prater, pointed out to the newly-formed reality television star to say that he appeared to look quite nervous on his big day.

"I was as stiff as a board, I've never been married before let alone done any TV," Thomas replied.

"To be honest with you my leg was just shaking like a dog and I didn't realise her dad would be walking her down the aisle, I was pretty petrified."

The 27-year-old, who works in Investment Communications, then said how he felt about his surprise partner, Rozz.

"You have to accept your partner as who they are, you shouldn't criticise them as that's just contempt, so that's definitely what I asked for with Rozz and I definitely got that.

He added: "Honestly, I remember when I turned around, I was like 'she's not ugly, I can work with this.'

"She is absolutely gorgeous, I just remember the day it was going on, I think she was just so petrified as well, I was like I have no clue what's going on here, I remember when the photographer was saying 'sit closer together, stand closer together for the photos,' I was like 'I don't think she wants that'. So that just made it all worse, it was like a game of awkward tennis just going back and forward snowballing."

A clip from the episode was then aired, during which Rozz said: "At the moment, I wouldn't say, I wouldn't say I fancy him at the moment."

By the end of the episode the pair had relaxed a bit and were keen to make a go of it, but Thomas revealed it wouldn't be plain sailing from this point.

"I'll be honest, the honeymoon's not going to go well, the honeymoon's NOT going to go well, that's a little taster.

"I will say that Rozz is the loveliest person in the world, the most wonderful person I've ever met and genuinely I think, wait, wait to see past that honeymoon because it gets so much better."

Married at First Sight UK airs Monday-Thursday at 9pm on E4.
