The Magic Roundabout is currently listed as the 11th best thing to do in Swindon according to Trip Advisor.

The iconic junction is often one of the most talked about things when it comes to discussing the town elsewhere, but the well-known travel-aid website suggests it is also one of the best things to do when visiting.

Placing ahead of the infamous roundabout are actual attractions like the first-placed STEAM Museum, Lydiard Park (and the Jungle Park within it as a separate entry), Roves Farm, the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon Designer Outlet, Stanton Park and Coate Water Country Park.

Also ahead of the Magic Roundabout are the rainbow steps by The Wyvern Theatre which sit in eighth place.

The Magic Roundabout has beaten out other local destinations like the Wichelstowe Footbridge and venues like Lotmead Farm, Freedog, Laserquest, the Town Gardens and the Hackpen White Horse.

The Trip Advisor page for The Magic Roundabout does say it is the 10th best thing to do in Swindon out of 58 things, but when you click on this link it actually says it is the 11th.

It is listed as a 'point of interest and landmark' with a suggested duration of less than 1 hour and an opening time of 12:00am - 11:59pm.

The popular landmark has received over 200 reviews, with 124 'excellent', 38 'very goods', 21 'averages', 12 'poor's and 17 'terribles'.

Among the positive reviews, one person said: "Of all the multiple roundabout configurations we have visited, this is surely the world's greatest. A fantastic day out for all the family."

Another added: "Fabulous way of keeping traffic moving and the best Swindon has to offer.
It takes nerves, concentration and pure determination to conquer this amazing attraction the best 32 seconds of fun you can have in Swindon."

One of the one-star reviews questioned why it was even on Trip Advisor at all.

They said: "How the hell did this end up on Tripadvisor? It's a roundabout and the sign looks more interesting than the roundabout itself.

"If however, you really want to make a special trip, make sure you go round each roundabout a few times and then park up and watch drivers get confused about how to drive round it."
