A house was ransacked by intruders wearing masks in a suspected burglary.

An investigation is underway following two incidents that happened in the same area just two days apart.

The first took place in Leverton Gate at around 6.50pm on Monday, November 27 in Broome Manor.

The offenders, who were seen on CCTV to be wearing masks and gloves, attempted to break into the address but fled the scene when their attempt was disturbed, officers said.

The second incident took place just two days later on Wednesday, November 29 just after 7pm at a different address that is also located in Leverton Gate.

The house in this second incident was ransacked according to detectives, but they said that it is unknown if anything has been stolen at this time.
