An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that took place in Swindon and left a man in his 20s in hospital.

The teenager been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and robbery following the incident which took place in Malmsbury Gardens on Thursday, November 23.

The 18-year-old who is from the Park South area was arrested on the morning of Friday, December 1.

This is the second arrest in relation to the stabbing, in which the victim sustained serious but not life-threatening knife injuries. He has since been discharged from hospital.

A 17-year-old boy was previously arrested for the assault. He was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, robbery and possession of a bladed article. He has since been released on conditional bail.
