A man is facing weapon and drugs charges after being arrested in Swindon.

Jimmy Lowe, 28, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place, possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely cocaine and heroin, and possession with intent to supply a class B drug, namely cannabis.

After his arrest on November 30, Lowe was also charged with driving a motor vehicle without a licence, failing to stop a vehicle when required to be a constable or traffic warden, using a motor vehicle on a road without insurance, and using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress.

He appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on December 1 and is due to appear at Swindon Crown Court at a later date.

A second man, Joshua Orchard, 24, of Hillingdon Road, Park South, has been recalled to prison for breach of his licence.
