One of Swindon’s most popular nightclubs looks set to close its doors for good after announcing “one last party.”

Tree nightclub, in Hoopers Place, has been a staple of Old Town’s nightlife scene since it was launched by Rendezvous restaurant owner Alan Mok in 2016.

But now it looks like the club as we know it will shut for the final time after its New Year’s Eve event at the end of 2023.

In a post on Facebook, staff announced that the night would be their “last dance.”

Tree has not yet confirmed what will happen to the venue in the new year but promised customers that exciting times lie ahead, with a “new adventure” on the way.

A spokesperson said: “The time has come… to join us for one last party for Tree's last dance this New Year's Eve 2023.

“Seven amazing years have led to this... one last chance to party in Wiltshire's biggest and best super club before we close the curtain for a new adventure.

“So come party with us and share a toast to all the amazing memories and exciting times for what lies ahead.”

Disappointed regulars will have the chance to say goodbye on New Year’s Eve with tickets for the “last dance” now on sale.
