Two people have been arrested after a police chase ended near Purton.
The driver and passenger were first spotted by Wiltshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit on Wednesday afternoon (December 20) driving a silver Vauxhall Vectra near Royal Wootton Bassett.
“This vehicle was taken without the owner's consent in Marlborough this afternoon,” shared the roads policing team on X (formerly known as Twitter).
When the driver of the stolen car failed to pull over, officers pursued the vehicle through the Wiltshire town.
The driver was eventually stopped on farmland believed to be near Purton.
According to Wiltshire Police, the driver had no licence and tested positive on a drug wipe.
Both the driver and passenger have now been arrested.
