A NEW landlord is showing off the refurbishment of a Swindon pub before its reopening after putting his 'heart and soul' into the renovations.
The Harrow in Wanborough is opening its doors once more on Friday, February 2 after its new landlord, Richard True took on the business earlier this month.
The estate agent left his nine-to-five job and moved in alongside his wife Charlotte and daughter Kaylei almost immediately after former landlord Sanjay Dogra moved out on January 1.
He said it has been a lifelong dream to run a pub and has been working hard all month renovating it ready for its reopening.
The games area, which includes a pool table and darts board, has been moved to the back of the pub and the front of the pub has been transformed into a spacious dining area.
The 41-year-old said: “I have given my heart and soul into reopening the pub.
“We look forward to putting the Harrow back on the map.
“It has been a lifelong dream of ours to run a pub, our family ran pubs for two generations before myself, but this is my first.”
