A main road was closed during the evening rush hour after a crash involving a lorry and a car.
Whitehill Lane in Royal Wootton Bassett was closed as a result of the crash that happened just before 5pm on Thursday, February 15.
The road runs adjacent to the town’s high street.
Wiltshire Police first informed the public of the road closure at 6.14pm through the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Police Facebook account.
A spokesperson wrote: “We are currently in attendance at a collision involving a lorry and a car in Whitehill Lane, Royal Wootton Bassett.
“We were called to the scene just before 5pm.
“The road is closed and likely to remain closed for some time.
“Please avoid the area if possible.”
An update was issued at 7.30pm stating that the road had been reopened.
