Wiltshire is set to be hit by more heavy rain this week.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the South West, which covers parts of Wiltshire.

The areas in Wiltshire which are covered by the warning include Trowbridge, Westbury and Bradford on Avon.

The warning covers the period midnight until midday on Wednesday, February 21 and comes on the back of a deluge on Saturday that left many roads and fields flooded in the county.

The Met Office says more flooding and disruption may follow the next batch of rain this week.

Members of the public can expect spray and flooding on some roads and may face longer journey times as well as potential interruption to power supplies. Homes and businesses may be flooded and bus and train services may also be affected.

The weather forecast for Trowbridge shows that rain is expected for the morning, with a 90 per cent chance starting at 3am. It then increases to over 95 per cent at 6am and 9am.

The rain is then expected to lighten and chance of rain decreases slightly to 90 per cent at noon, then 60 per cent at 3pm.
